PeopleWorx Society operates three Nova Scotia Works Centres in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. We provide virtual and in-person services, information and appointment times.

Job Seekers – If you are ready to make a plan that will lead you to employment, please reach out. Nova Scotia Works job seeker clients are not in school or are within 3 months of finishing school, including high school.

Our Career Practitioners are available to get to know each job seeker client, help navigate through barriers and provide information, programs and best practices for career planning, job searching, and employability skills.

Employers – If you are interested in support for recruitment, access to funding programs and HR tools, we are happy to help. We host highly successful job/career fairs throughout the year, networking events and small meetings to support the labour market in this beautiful province.

How to register as a Job Seeker client or an Employer client

Register as a client of Nova Scotia Works in any of the following ways:

  • Visit novascotiaworks.ca. Choose the Job Seeker tab or the Employer tab and choose SIGN UP. Select PeopleWorx as your service provider.
  • Drop by any of our 3 locations during open hours. See our LOCATIONS page for open hours at each site.
  • Call us at 1-866-609-9675. We will help you sign up.

Our Services

Job Seekers

If you prefer personalized assistance with your employment goals and plans, we invite you to register as a job seeker client. Our Career Practitioners can provide guidance for your plan as you:

  • explore career paths
  • engage in employment support programs
  • apply for funding programs
  • overcome barriers to employment
  • create or update your resume and cover letters
  • use effective strategies for job searching
  • brush up on your interviewing and networking skills, and apply for work
  • collaborate with you on an action plan that will help you find employment.
Employers

Our Employer Engagement Specialists are a resource to employers as clients to:

  • Create job postings and advertise on our job board
  • Access information and resources on various human resources topics
  • Gather information about wage subsidy programs
Self-Serve

We have self-serve computers, including a Universal Computer system and internet access for your employment-related needs. You can search for jobs or use a computer to create your own resume and cover letters.

Workshops and Events

Our free workshops assist job seeker clients to develop the skills you need to find and keep a good job. See the EVENTS tab for workshops, community meetings and events.

Youth

Our Nova Scotia Works School Liaison is available for high school youth as they develop employability skills, find employment and explore careers. We provide information, work one-on-one or in groups with students as well as the families/caregivers as they support them.
