DESCRIPTION:Nova Scotia Works\, 298 Marshall Street\, in partnership with CBDC Annapolis Ventures\, invites individuals interested in entrepreneurship to attend this free information session. Participants will learn about the Self-Employment Program\, including eligibility requirements\, financial and advisory supports and the steps involved in transitioning from unemployment to self-employment. Attendees will engage directly with representatives from CBDC and Nova Scotia Works\, ask questions and learn more about the resources available to help launch and sustain a successful small business. \nNo registration is required. All are welcome. \nDue to extreme sensitivities\, our offices and workspaces must be scent-free. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Nova Scotia Works\, 298 Marshall Street\, Middleton for an afternoon to dream\, imagine and create! A career canvas is a uniquely personal\, visual representation of what you want for your future. Using the Let's Talk Careers workshop material\, we will explore goal-setting strategies\, values and preferences in an open-minded approach to career exploration. Each participant will have ample time to create their career canvas to take home. \nAll supplies and materials are provided. There is no cost to attend\, but registration is required. \nThis workshop is facilitated by Melanie\, our Nova Scotia Works School Liaison and is for youth in grades 9-12.
