Are your services free?

We are currently happy to provide all our services and programs to our participants free of charge. From time to time, PeopleWorx hosts courses such as 1st Aid, Safe Food Handling, OH&S offered by other organizations.  These courses typically have a fee associated with them.

I’m interested in one of your programs but I’m scared it will be too tough.

It’s totally normal to have some concerns about starting a new program. Our goal is to help you do the best you can – and we’re here to help you every step of the way. You’ll learn a lot in our programs, and they won’t feel like school.

I think PeopleWorx can help me, but I’m not sure. What should I do?

What can I expect when I walk in the door of one of your locations?

You can expect immediate service and a warm smile. You’ll meet one-on-one with an Information and Resource Specialist who will explain our resources and services. 

I want to sign up for a program. How do I do that?

First of all: we’d be delighted to meet you! Please call 1-866-609-9675 to arrange to visit one of our locations, or just drop by and we’ll explain our programs to you. 

I don’t have my own transportation. Are your offices easily accessible by public transportation?

Both our Middleton and Annapolis Royal offices are accessible by bus throughout the day.

Our Coldbrook location has direct bus access to the door twice per day.  Outside of those times, it’s a short three-minute walk to our doors from the nearest bus stop.

Privacy Policy

During the course of providing programs and services, PeopleWorx acquires and maintains certain personal information about individuals who access, or apply for access to, these programs and services.  This document is an outline of the privacy protection practices PeopleWorx has adopted to continue to meet federally legislated requirements.

What is personal information?

Personal information is any information that identifies an individual.  In the case of PeopleWorx, this information may include:  name, date of birth, social insurance number, address and phone number, and employment history, as well as marital, educational, medical and financial information.

How is this information used?

The personal information gathered is necessary for PeopleWorx to provide programs and services appropriate to the needs of an individual.  It is also used to provide statistical information to agencies providing funding for our programs and services.  In some instances, information may be shared with agencies providing supports or subsidies to program participants.

Who has access to this information?

Members of PeopleWorx’ staff have access to information relevant to their duties as they relate to providing programs and services.  Individuals whose personal information is maintained by PeopleWorx, may access this information to the extent that it does not infringe upon the privacy of other individuals. 

An individual’s personal information will only be released to individuals or agencies outside PeopleWorx with their consent, and then, only the specified information will be released.  Some situations that could require release of personal information are:

How long is this information kept?

Personal information gathered is maintained as long as an individual regularly accesses PeopleWorx’ programs and services, and for a period of five years from the date the individual last accesses those programs and services.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
