TERM POSITION (Medical Leave) Feb 19th to Apr 19th, 2019. The Employer Engagement Specialist (EES) provides liaison between employers, Government, and Nova Scotia Works, implements effective marketing and outreach strategies that help employers build their business and recruit employees; demonstrates program knowledge and service management for employers including assessing needs, managing the coordination of targeted outreach services, cultivates new and existing relationships through regular employer consultation meetings - in person, on the phone or virtually; provides day-to-day assistance to employers and facilitates access to appropriate programs, resources available such as Skills NS, etc. and services including on-going follow-up; works with the other NSW centre staff to facilitative better job matching/ job development; participate on Regional Workforce Committees; develops strategic partnerships with agencies such as Regional Enterprise Networks and Sector Councils; establishes and maintains links with external agencies and other organizations such as NSBI, LAE, DCS; promotes NSW Centres through strategic memberships such as Chamber of Commerce. The EES reports directly to the Manager, Nova Scotia Works Centre.

During the course of providing programs and services, PeopleWorx acquires and maintains certain personal information about individuals who access, or apply for access to, these programs and services.  This document is an outline of the privacy protection practices PeopleWorx has adopted to continue to meet federally legislated requirements.

Personal information is any information that identifies an individual.  In the case of PeopleWorx, this information may include:  name, date of birth, social insurance number, address and phone number, and employment history, as well as marital, educational, medical and financial information.

How is this information used?

The personal information gathered is necessary for PeopleWorx to provide programs and services appropriate to the needs of an individual.  It is also used to provide statistical information to agencies providing funding for our programs and services.  In some instances, information may be shared with agencies providing supports or subsidies to program participants.

Who has access to this information?

Members of PeopleWorx’ staff have access to information relevant to their duties as they relate to providing programs and services.  Individuals whose personal information is maintained by PeopleWorx, may access this information to the extent that it does not infringe upon the privacy of other individuals. 

An individual’s personal information will only be released to individuals or agencies outside PeopleWorx with their consent, and then, only the specified information will be released.  Some situations that could require release of personal information are:

How long is this information kept?

Personal information gathered is maintained as long as an individual regularly accesses PeopleWorx’ programs and services, and for a period of five years from the date the individual last accesses those programs and services.
